Marble is a matamorphic stone composed of recrystallized minerals such as calcite and dolomite. They are predominantly white and gray colored. They also have yellow, pink, red, bluish, brownish, and black colors, due to various mineral impurities such as clay, silt, sand, iron oxides, and chert.
White marble has been an important element of a classically designed home. Its grainy appearance contributes to esthetics of a kitchen. It symbolizes the luxury and quality of a building. Its shiny and time defying appearance is fascinating. Yet, marble is not durable to tough scratches and and stains. Therefore, we recommend marble for small space applications such as small countertops, and kitchen isles.
